[BIP:90] ChainPatrol Renewal

TL;DR - The Beefy DAO is asked to approve a budget of $12,000 to renew the ChainPatrol relationship for a further 12 months.

Renewal

In May 2024, the DAO approved an initial engagement with ChainPatrol under [BIP:78] for the provision of protective and preventive services to manage social media and digital communities. After an initial trial, the relationship extended to an initial 1-year engagement. As we now approach the end of that engagement, this proposal seeks approval to renew the engagement on effectively the same terms.

Performance

The general view of the contributor team is that ChainPatrol have been extremely effective in their work. They have handled a significant amount of volume without issue, and there has been a noticeable decline in the amount of contributor time devoted to handling scams and impersonators.

The below stats from early January show the value added by ChainPatrol over 6-7 months of work throughout 2024.!

Outlook

In view of the quality of the service, the contributor team has been very supportive, meeting with them at conferences and events and spreading the word to our friends and partners. ChainPatrol has agreed to keep the price static for the next 1-year engagement at $12,000. The contributor team recommends accepting this renewal offer.
